HRISHIKESH JOSHI Born in Kolhapur, Hrishikesh Joshi is a Marathi actor known for his fluent performances across movies, television and theatre. His roles in Harishchandrachi Factory, Yellow (2014 film), Aajcha Divas Majha and Vishnupant Damle: The Unsung Hero of Talkies among others won him recognition and appreciation of noted theatre professionals. A PG student from NSD, Hrishikesh entered the world of theatre in 1997 with more than 50 plays in Hindi, Marathi and Sanskrit to his credit. He also has the honor of representing India for the Sri Lankan Threatre festival where he performed ‘Abhigyan Shakuntalam’ in Sanskrit in Colombo and Candy. Hrishikesh has received immense recognition from the state of Maharashtra for his works in Shobhayatra, Love story and Ey bhau doka nako khau (Best Actor Award from Maharashtra state govt. for Commercial Play State Competition for years 1999-2000, 2006-2007 and 2007 -2008). Also a recipient of prestigious awards such as the Satish Dubhashi Award for direction of “NANDI, Hrishikesh has successfully helmed 400shows of Mukkampost Bombilwadi, 150 shows of Sangeet Langakallol and 150 shows of Love Story (Marathi) commercially.
